May I ask how did you decide on the name Toivo Kissa? 🙂
(fun fact: in Finnish the name translates to Hope Cat and could be an actual name of a person! So as a Finn I got REALLY excited bc of this :’D)
I love this comic!
I grew up in a small town in Minnesota that had a significant Finnish population, so Toivo was a name I heard a lot. I liked it, so I used it. I didn’t want to just use a Finnish last name (since I knew a lot of people with those names), so instead I looked at different Finnish words to get the right feel.
I decided on “Kissa” and also decided at the same time that Toivo is allergic to cats.
