Solution: they’re fake. (In response to the alt text)
Perhaps a spell set up to teleport the correct amount of water to each plant at set times of day, possibly from a central reservoir kept full by workers or a spring? (Responding to alt text)

Oh yeah, this seems completely safe.
That’s three letters. Really MaD? Really? They must face all the jokes, except they’re magic users so no-one would dare.
Toivo might have used magic to look after the plants – a spell to water them every so often, maybe triggered by the plants feeling thirsty – but there is a simpler solution. Our Wizard Wrangler likes plants, so she probably made arrangements.
If I remember correctly, the desk lady Jessica also likes plants. I doubt she’d let Toivo neglect his. Come to think of it, she could have a spare key to his office or something and be coming in to water them once in a while. She seems like the type to do that.
