Question. Approximately how much time has passed from that episode to this one?
At most, a couple months. The timeline is a little loose, but Chapter 3 (the ghost chapter) takes place maybe somewhere around late spring to early summer, before the school year ends. This chapter takes place about mid-summer.

Wow, they said in Chapter 3 that Toivo’s 70, I would probably also still have feeling about a person who I had been with almost half my life.
Heck, I’ve usually gone about the lenght of relationships until I am entirely over them.

I hadn’t realized Toivo and Aidan had such a long-lasting romantic relationship! And they’ve obviously stayed close friends, given that Rosemary called him Uncle Aidan even before she knew they used to be a couple, so… yeah, definitely a bond there, whether it’s romantic or platonic.
